Local Information
The Isle of Anglesey is situated off the northwest corner of Wales and has over 100 miles of a spectacular coastline within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Island is connected to Wales by two bridges - the Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge. Snowdonia National Park is just a 30 minute drive, across the Menai Straits.

There are many activities available in the area such as kayaking, coastering, fishing, cycling, golf etc. There are also many footpaths all over the island, including the coastal footpath, for those who wish to explore on foot. The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path covers over 125 miles. The official starting point is at St Cybi's Church, Holyhead but as the path connects with many towns and villages it is also well suited to shorter walks and cycle rides. We are within easy reach of many different beaches including some of the most beautiful in the UK (Newborough, Aberfraw, Red Wharf Bay).
There are several Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest on the Island, one of which - Cors Goch lies 1 mile away and is internationally famous for it's wide ranging wetland species. If you are interested in ancient history and would like to spend time exploring the wide range of monuments including standing stones, burial chambers and settlement you can start on our doorstep. Just 1.5 miles away is the ancient settlement and burial chamber at Din LLigwy.
